High Speed Catamaran
The high speed catamaran departs from Port Denarau Marina at 8.30 am every morning. It will drop you off at Waya Island (Octopus Resort) at around 11.00 am where we will pick you up on our resort boat and bring you to Viwa Island, which takes a further 30-40 minutes. The high speed catamaran is FJD160 per person each way in regular class, and FJD190 per person each way in the Captain’s Lounge.
The inter-island transfer from Waya Island to Viwa Island costs FJD90 per person each way.
For the return journey, we will drop you off at Octopus Resort to connect with the high speed catamaran at approximately 3.15 pm which will see you return to Port Denarau Marina at approximately 5.45 pm.
There are two sea plane operators coming to Viwa Island with prices starting from FJD380 one way. The short scenic flight takes just 30 minutes from Nadi to Viwa Island and can be scheduled to coincide with your international flight arrival and departure (provided this is during daylight hours).
Turtle Airways offers seaplane transfers to and from the resort – a short 30-minute flight from Nadi. With flights departing every other hour, you will enjoy reduced layover times and convenient connections. On the rare occasions that you will have to wait, you can make use of the free Wifi access, shower and vanity facilities, an air-conditioned lounge or a walk along the beach catching some fresh air. Located on Wailoaloa beach, it’s a short 15-20 minute taxi ride from the airport.
Pacific Island Air is conveniently located at the airport and offers a unique amphibious seaplane transfer to Viwa Island Resort in 30 minutes. There’s nothing quite like the thrill and experience of a waterfront landing.
It’s a unique experience and highly recommended. It really is the best way to arrive in paradise!
